Blake Poland

Blake Poland is Associate Professor in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto, where he is interim director of the PhD program in Social & Behavioural Health Sciences, director of the Collaborative Specialization in Community Development, and co-director of the W.H.O. Collaborating Centre in Health Promotion. His work centers on the application of qualitative research methods and critical social theory to understanding community resilience, community development, sustainability transitions, and the role of social movements as agents of change. He holds a PhD in geography from McMaster University.
