James Aronson
James Aronson is senior scientist emeritus at Missouri Botanical Garden’s Center for Conservation and Sustainable Development. He also worked for 28 years as a restoration ecologist at the French CNRS’s Center for Functional and Evolutionary Ecology in Montpellier, France and as a researcher at the Applied Research Institute, Beer Seva, Israel. He has published over 250 papers and co-authored or edited many textbooks including Ecological Restoration: Principles, Values, and Structure of an Emerging Profession, Restoration Ecology: The New Frontier, and Restoring Natural Capital – Science, Business, Practice. He is co-founder and Steering Committee member of the EcoHealth Network. He holds a PhD in plant ecology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
